Prohealth UK offers placements in line with The BACP guidance information sheet and advertises placements on their "Placement Database". Click the info button below to download the information sheet. The agency holds regular meetings and has a mentoring system so that newer students can be supported by more experienced volunteers. Our comprehensive placement induction pack contains a contract, introduction to our service and policies, emergency protocols, details of internal and external face to face supervision and group supervision, plus a detailed client assessment pack and info pack which all staff are expected to use.

We are consistently exploring and implementing new placement venues around the local area so there is a plentiful supply of clients and the staffing levels are able to maintain a very short waiting list which is only weeks long, rather than the usual months that some services ask clients to wait. Its a situation that is mutually beneficial to all involved.

Those on placement with us are fully covered by Professional Indemnity and Liability Insurance as well as holding Enhanced CRB checks. We give our volunteers access to our full range of CPD training so that they can keep up to date with the latest policies and techniques in the counselling arena.
