Obsessive compulsive dissorder

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is characterised by persistent, unwanted thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive behaviours (compulsions) performed to alleviate anxiety. These cycles can significantly interfere with daily functioning. Effective treatments for OCD include cognitive-behavioural therapy, particularly Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and medication. Early intervention is crucial in managing symptoms and improving quality of life.
